Mixed media community quilt made by ACCE Academy High School students under the guidance of their teacher, Maria Gabriela Aldana. Students, teachers, administration, and friends contributed to a quilt collecting the demands and collective identity of the school's community members. Designed and sewn under the guidance of Aldana during "Eat then Art" lunch club and Bmore Cultured art club. It reads "Care is the only thing a system cannot produce," by John McNight.
Gabrielle, one of the youth leaders of Bmore Cultured, is seen here at the final exhibit and celebration at the Decker Gallery, Maryland Institute College of Art.
